Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) Lab Tour
Visitors will be introduced to the development of portable and efficient environmental sensing solutions. In this lab, we develop nanomaterial-based sensing methods for various things including bacteria, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pesticides, and also proteins, DNA, and small drug.
The methodologies, which are simple-to-use, rapid and low-cost, are suitable for on-site and on-demand applications. Research activities including synthesis and biofunctionalisation of nanomaterials, sensing assay designs and integration with portable detectors.
Tour duration: 45 minutes (max. 15 visitors)
1 session: 5pm (7 years old and above)
All registered participants, please report to the Registration Tent next to the Stage at least 30 minutes before the start of activity. Slots will be given to the next participant on the waiting list after 30 minutes. (Click here for map)
